Greenplum: Building a Postgres Fabric for Large Scale Analytical Computation
May 29, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Austin PostgreSQL User Group (PUG) welcomes Jason Wiseman of Pivotal as our speaker on “Greenplum: Building a Postgres Fabric for Large Scale Analytical Computation”.
Learn how Postgres as a core engine creates the fabric for large scale analytics on multi structured data, and why Greenplum is perfectly positioned in the Postgres ecosystem to be the main option for big data workloads.
Jason Wiseman leads Pivotal Data Engineering for the South Central US, focusing on both pre- and post-sales solutions, and has spent the last ten years building large-scale data systems. Prior to joining EMC/Greenplum in 2011, Jason worked with several startup companies primarily focused on security and fraud, including WholeSecurity (acquired by Symantec) and Adometry (acquired by Google).
