BTG + BigCommerce: Inclusion – What Does It Mean To You?
February 20, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
| FreeBreaking The Glass invites you to attend an exciting night of storytelling and dialogue regarding inclusion: what it means, what it doesn’t mean, and what it feels like to be included.
Austin’s tech industry is experiencing hyper-growth, with an increasing focus on how organizations could and should be more welcoming to the spectrum of diverse talent in the market.
However, an organization’s need for increasing diversity is equally matched with the imperative call to develop a culture of inclusion in order to attract and retain more diverse talent.
At this event, we’ll address what it means to truly build and experience a culture of inclusion at work. We’ll hear the individual stories of senior leaders in tech who identify with one or more intersections of gender, race, ability, and sexuality. They will share testimony regarding their experience of inclusion throughout the course of their career. Afterwards, we’ll sit down for a moderated panel and audience Q&A to fully explore what it means for an organization to be inclusive.
This event will be hosted by BigCommerce on Wednesday, February 20th, at their northwest Austin office. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be served, and parking is free! This event is open to the public, however, pre-registration is required to attend.
